Ella is passionate about understanding people’s behaviour, exploring what they say vs what they do. Until recently she was an Associate Director at Ipsos MORI, initially working across a spectrum of qualitative methodologies before becoming a founding member of the Ipsos Ethnography Centre of Excellence (ECE). There, she specialised exclusively in filmed ethnography & visual methods for both public & private sector clients.
After taking time off on maternity leave and relocating to Oxford, Ella decided to go freelance. She is now enjoying working as an associate of Research Oxford focusing on qualitative methods and contributing to the development of more visually focused approaches to projects.
Ella is an experienced presenter who has been recognised by the Market Research Society by being nominated ‘best newcomer’ to their conference in 2011 and winning ‘best session’ in 2013. She has also had three projects nominated for MRS awards in the social, international & financial categories (2012-2014).
